CANCELATION/DEPOSIT POLICIES

CANCELLATION POLICIES:

Being a small operation, Baked by Laynie is only able to take a limited number of custom orders for any given week.  We must often decline other clients in order to secure your place - in doing so, we ensure that every order we take gets the proper amount of attention devoted to it.  In addition, sometimes hand-made decorative elements of your order will need to be started in advance to provide adequate drying time.


  1. A NON-REFUNDABLE deposit totaling 50% is required within 24 hours of receipt of this invoice to reserve your order and spot on our schedule.  Please note that we cannot hold a spot on our schedule without a deposit – you might consider paying a deposit as soon as you are sure you would like to order so you don’t lose your spot.

  2. Changes may be made to quantities, sizes, designs, packaging, flavors, and colors until 5 DAYS BEFORE PICK UP. At that time, everything must be finalized, no changes to quantities, design, packaging, flavors, and colors after the 5 day point. If I am able to accommodate a change to date, design or quantity after that date, a minimum of 20% change fee will be applied. No change is confirmed until agreed.

  3. Once the event date is within 5 days, you will be charged the agreed to total amount listed above. The full amount must be paid upon pick up and no refunds will be given.

  4.  Client assumes ALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR CAKES/COOKIES ONCE THEY ARE PICKED UP. SOME ITEMS ARE FRAGILE AND REQUIRE DELICATE HANDLING – PLEASE TAKE CARE WHEN TRAVELING WITH THEM.
