OUR STORY

   Hey, I’m Laynie, owner and cookie decorator at Baked By Laynie. I’m a wife to Hal, and Mom to Bennett, Georgie and our fur baby Bear. I’ve always had the creative bug from painting to decorating and now baking. Both my mom and sister are the OG’s, and I learned everything from them.

   On March 17, 2014, our little guy was diagnosed with Leukemia at two years old, just 10 days after his sister was born! His treatment lasted 3.5 years and towards the end I started to realize I had lost myself a bit. As many of you know, being a Mom and wife is the hardest, most rewarding job in the world, but super easy to lose “you”. In February 2016 I thought let’s do this, and I made some cake pops. I Posted them, then friends and family wanted to buy them. Sugar cookies were on the rise then, so I had to jump on that train. I had many fails, but then I sort of got it. People (not just friends and family) started to really like my stuff. Having your own business is a roller coaster ALL THE TIME,  but I think I’ve gotten my groove! I can’t  thank you all enough for your support in helping me get me back.
